These terms apply when you browse shrimpaquatics.com or place an order with Shrimp Aquatics. They sit alongside our shipping, payment, returns and live arrival policies, which set out the detail for each part of an order. Please read them before you buy, especially if you are ordering live animals for delivery outside Vietnam.

The policies that form part of these terms
By placing an order you also accept the policies below. Where one of them covers a topic in more detail, that policy applies to it.
- Shipping Policy: shipping cost, dispatch, transit, packing and destinations
- Payment Policy: payment methods, when you are charged and currency
- Returns and Live Arrival Claims: dead-on-arrival claims, dry goods returns and cancellations
- Live Arrival Guarantee and Warranty Policy: what the guarantee covers and how claims are settled
- Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy: how we handle your data
- Content Policy: how our care guides are written and checked
Import rules are your responsibility
Live aquatic animals and plants are regulated differently in every country, and some countries do not allow them at all. Before you order, confirm that you can legally import the species you want and whether you need a permit, a registered importer or an inspection. Checkout accepts orders to every country, so you do not need to contact us first. If you are not sure a courier can reach your address, email us your country, city and the species you want before you pay. We cannot accept responsibility for a shipment your authorities refuse because the import itself was not allowed, or because a permit your law requires was missing. Where customs or quarantine holds or destroys a shipment while your own paperwork is in order, our live arrival guarantee covers the livestock value.
Orders, prices and payment
All prices on the site are in US dollars. Payment is taken in full when you place the order, and an order is confirmed only after payment clears. Your bank or PayPal may convert the amount into your own currency and add its own fees.
We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch if we cannot ship to your destination, an item is no longer available, or a listing shows an obvious error in price or description. If we cancel, we refund the amount you paid to your original payment method.
What to expect from live animals
Every animal we sell is an individual. Color, pattern and size vary within a line, and young shrimp keep developing color after they arrive. Photos show typical examples of a line, not the exact animal you will receive.
We guarantee that livestock arrives alive under the terms of our live arrival guarantee. We do not guarantee breeding results, adult coloration, sex or sex ratio, or long-term survival. Once animals are acclimated into your aquarium, their health depends on your water, tank maturity, tank mates and care, which we cannot see or control.
Shipping and delivery
Shipping cost, dispatch times, couriers and packing are set out in our Shipping Policy. Delivery dates are estimates, not promises, because customs inspection, weather and courier backlogs are outside our control. Please make sure someone can receive a live shipment at the delivery address, and give us a complete and correct address at checkout.
Live arrival claims, returns and cancellations
Dead-on-arrival claims, dry goods returns and order cancellations are handled only under our Returns and Live Arrival Claims page. The reporting window for livestock is short and a claim needs the evidence that page describes, so read it before your parcel is due.
Care guides and advice
Our care guides, product pages and email replies share what we know as keepers and breeders. They are general information for hobbyists, not veterinary advice. We are not veterinarians, and nothing on this site replaces advice from a qualified aquatic veterinarian who can examine your tank.
Content on this site
The text, photos and other content on shrimpaquatics.com belong to Shrimp Aquatics or are used with permission. You may share a link to any page. Please do not copy our text or photos to another website, marketplace listing or publication without our written permission.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including losses of other livestock or equipment in your aquarium. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory consumer rights you hold under the law of your own country. Where local law gives you stronger protection, that law applies.
Resolving a problem with your order
If something goes wrong with an order, email contact@shrimpaquatics.com with your order number before you open a dispute with your bank or PayPal. We read every message ourselves and will work with you to settle the problem directly. A chargeback freezes the payment while the provider investigates, which usually takes far longer than a refund or replacement we can arrange ourselves.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our products, shipping routes or policies change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you placed it.
